“We very much embrace challenge,” said Lesley, mother of three children under the age of five. “We listen to demand, we keep growing and we keep very strong relationships with our team because they’re the heart and soul of our business.
“We’re constantly looking for how much better we can be and look at ways where we can grow. We surround ourselves with very positive people who have similar thought processes, who believe anything is possible.”
In 2017 Lesley was the winner of the Cairns Businesswoman of the year!
She said she hoped the award would help promote her business’s environmentally friendly credentials.
“For the recycling side, we are working hard to get off the ground,” she said.
“We try to not just tell people to reduce plastic but to give them the connection about how it impacts every one of us so they can make small changes in their daily life.”
FNQ Plastics is “a custom fabrication specialist with an environmental focus and an end goal of reducing waste into landfills”.
Lesley said the best part about being connected to theSPACE is that "You are part of a bigger community, you have an extra level of support and connection to some invaluable networks."
